Jim Moore: I hold you responsible as one of the peanut gallery sports talk yahoos who have helped to run Ichiro out of Seattle. You’ve done nothing but whine about his presence in Seattle since your show began. “Bat Ichiro 9th”, “Don’t extend Ichiro’s contract”, “Move on as a baseball team”, these are some of your prescriptions to improve this team??? Well, you got your wish, now we can discover just how knowledgable you are about baseball. We will see how much the Ms improve using all that over-the-top salary to get some real players. Fielders with power. HAH!
Ichiro is the best thing to happen to this franchise. He kept the Ms on the map when nothing else was going their way. When he played his best, you criticized him for being ‘selfish’. When he attempted to change his style to bat third and help the team, you criticized him because his production went down. In a final statement of utter truculence, you compared him with Chone Figgins as an overpaid vet. Chone Figgins??? Puleeze. I hope you and that cranial billiard Kevin K both get relieved of that afternoon job. You both need to go back to school, and learn a bit about baseball. Come back after you’ve graduated. I would think that your incipient racism against Japanese people could at least be quelled while you’re on the air.
